Tampa Bay United operates one of the largest and most successful recreational programs in the area and we are excited to serve the children of Wesley Chapel and surrounding communities. We strive to create a program that is fun, active, and instructive for youth, and affordable for parents.

This spring we are doing our Friday night under the lights games only league. For the past 10 years this has been a fun and low- pressure way to support all the kids out there who were just not quite ready to take a break from soccer. There are no practices, and the volunteer coaches are asked not to be too competitive with the game.  Wins and losses are not tracked and moving players around to make the game more fun for both teams is highly encouraged.  If you are looking for a league that is more instructional in nature please wait for our fall season to open in August, are contact our Academy director to learn more about the training offered there.

Important: Spring time in Florida has unpredictable weather. We will do our best to rescheduled games that are rained out. However we will not play past Memorial day weekend, as the players are typically out of school and on vacation. TBU reserves the right to cut the season short, due to weather, if no further game times are available. We appreciate your understanding.

The Spring League is a Friday night GAME ONLY league for recreational Academy and Competitive players from 6-18.  The Spring season offers no practices and therefore is not intended to teach the game of soccer.  If you are looking for something more instructiona,l our Fall season is a better choice.

Format:

• Eight games with no practices.
• We have setup the registration as coed only to keep it simple.  We intend to make gender specific divisions if the numbers allow.  However this is not always possible at every age group.  Please be aware that if the numbers dictate we will keep the age division as coed.
  
• Recreational, Academy and Competitive players will be playing together grouped by age and gender where possible.
• Players will be sorted based upon information provided during registration. We do our best to build the teams equally, but are not successful all the time.
• The following game formats will be used and adjusted according to the number of players we have in each age group.

• Season will begin on March 31st with the final game night being played on or before Thursday May 25th.
• All games will be played on Friday Nights at 6:00 or 7:30. except for the final game on Memorial day weekend which will be played on Thursday if needed.
• Rainouts may be rescheduled for Sunday afternoon if prior to memorial day weekend.
• All games will be played at Wesley Chapel District Park.
• Referees will be assigned for U8 and above.  The U6 age division will be refed by our coaches who are allowed on the field.

Registration Fee = $85 (2 Game shirts included)

Note:  If you have already purchased shirts this seasonal year you can use those shirts for the spring season.  However, if this is your first season with sporting, you must order your shirts before games begin keeping in mind that printing and shipping time is required.

Available Discounts:

• Sibling Discount: There is a $20 discount offered for each additional player.
  

Equipment:

The player is required to supply shorts, soccer socks, soccer cleats, shin guards and a ball (Size 3 for U8, Size 4 for U10 & U12, and Size 5 for U14+).

Age Group Determination:

All age groups are determined based on birth year. Find your child’s birth year below to determine what Age Group they will participate under.  This is for your information only.  The registration system will allow you to only register for the correct age group.  It is not required to know this ahead of time.

Important Dates:

• March 12th: Deadline for Registrations
• March 31st: First game
• May 25: Final make up game slot
