Sporting Wesley Chapel is excited to offer an Academy program that will provide the highest level of training and technical development to our youngest players. This is a new and exciting approach for our club. We are truly excited for what this approach offers for our next generation of youth players here in the Wesley Chapel and extended Tampa bay area.
In simple terms, our Youth Academy approach will be focused on making each player technically better. This will be done through a methodical approach and process. Each session will challenge the player to develop technical skills while providing a progressive developmental pathway within a challenging and player centric environment.
Our coaches believe in fostering an enjoyment and learning of the game through their enthusiasm, hands on approach and genuine desire to positively impact each players ability and love for the game.
While a lot of clubs talk about “player development”, through this approach we are committed to actually doing it.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Is this considered “competitive soccer”?
A: Competitive soccer ranges in so many ways from high quality elite level leagues to lower tier competitive competitions. Our Academy approach is based off a European model where real player development can be encouraged without the additional pressures of counting “wins & losses” at the younger ages, We believe this approach will result in a more technically proficient player . There is no need to drive long distances every weekend to play against teams that may not be a competitive fit – in our opinion that is simply madness, for the player, and the parent(s).
Q: If we don't join a league how will my player learn to play the game?
A: We develop game time knowledge and awareness through a strong focus on technical work, as well as small sided, high touch, high engagement games. We believe game experiences are absolutely important, but within a controlled and structured Academy environment. We will enter teams into tournaments and arrange scrimmages when it becomes an important part of their overall development.
