Fall Soccer League

Fall TARSA League

TARSA (Tampa Area Recreational Scheduling Association) was instituted in 2000. The purpose of our league is a scheduling tool for the 16 soccer clubs we support in area from Citrus, Hernando, Pasco and Hillsborough Counties within FYSA. The individual clubs have teams from the 12U thru the 19U age divisions for Coed and Girls age groups.  Although we are not a competitive program and specialize in recreational soccer, there is some travel between clubs in area and scores along with standings are kept and a End of Season tournament is held each year to determine an age group champion in each gender.

It is important to note.  This program requires that every team be coached by volunteers.  We do not have the staff to accommodate these teams.  The club will train and help those who wish to be helped.  We need anyone who can to step in and coach a team.  No experience required just an enthusiasm for the game and a passion for working with children.  We also offer our returning coaches the opportunity to preselect players from the previous year.  This is done to provide more cohesive and competitive teams.

COACHES NEEDED: This program is staffed completely by volunteers.  Our coaches are the key to making this an enjoyable program for the children of this community. You can go to our website and volunteer directly for the program now, or wait until you register your child and do so then.   This year our TARSA coaches are allowed to recruit returning players.  There is a limit on how many they can recruit, but in order to be more competitive our TARSA teams have the option to stay mostly together year after year.

Explanation of Costs

Registration Fees - These fees are collected to pay for the overall operations of the league including field rentals, field paint and equipment.  It also covers the required registration with our League
County Fee -   The county requires we charge our non Pasco residents a slightly higher amount.
Uniforms -  This year we are using a new drop ship order system that allows you to pick your size and have your shirts delivered directly to your home.  This is not going to show up on the registration total in our website, but is a required purchase prior to the season beginning.  You will receive a link to order your shirts after you complete registration.

Available Discounts:

  • Sibling Discount: There is a $20 discount offered for each additional player.
  • Early Registration: We commonly have late registrations which causes a lot of confusion and extra work on our end.  Please consider registering early.  If you register early we offer a $20 discount on our normal registration price.

Equipment:

The player is required to arrive with soccer shorts, soccer socks, soccer cleats, shin guards and a ball ( Size 4 for U12, and Size 5 for U13+).

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: What division do I sign the player up for?
A:  The age division is calculated by our system using the birth date of the player.  You do not need to know the correct age division to register.

Q:  When are Practices?
A:  All practices are held at either 6:00, or 7:30 Monday through Thursday.  The days and times are determined by the volunteer coach.  Each team is provided 2 time slots for practice.

Q:  When are the games played?
A:  TARSA teams schedules may vary slightly, but are typically on Saturday mornings.  However, keep in mind that half of the games are away and may be scheduled a little later in the day depending on where it is.

Q:  Are all programs coed?
A: TARSA offers gender specific teams for some girls divisions.  The boys divisions are all considered coed so they can include female players if needed.  However keep in mind most of those coed teams are mostly boys.

Q: Do I have to purchase a uniform if I still have the one from last Season.
A:  YES,  We require new kits to be designed and printed each year.  While the colors may be similar we require that every player purchase a new kit for the next season.
